Hot Hot Pot Doncaster
On a happy Winter’s night I find myself wandering up to a brightly coloured structure at Westfield Doncaster that is home to the brand new Hot Hot Pot.
We have come with the promise of chilli and broth and of course at the request of the ever fabulous Marty from First Chapter Agency. This man has his nose to the road and can spot a new food trend before us mere mortals even realize it is coming. He is also fabulously hospitable, introducing bloggers to restaurant owners and friends to photographers.
We sit at one of a handful of small timber tables where we are eventually joined by others equally excited by the promise of Hot Pot done differently.
Knee to knee and elbows drawn in we could probably do with a little more room at the table for slurping the delicious 8-hour Pork Bone Collagen Broth but I guess then we would miss the opportunity of peering over the big white rim of our Neighbour’s soup bowl to see what it is they ordered.
The instructions go something like this.
Grab a bowl, then chose from a selection of over 70 individual ingredients to fill it up. Take it to the counter where you will pay by the gram and then let them cook it all for you in a broth of your choosing. You might like to grab a sugar-free drink to sip while you wait.
