In my Kitchen

It is winter, it is very cold, the school holidays are over (mixed blessing am I right?).

I occasionally get sent some lovely products to try so I though I might share a few of my favourite ones to help keep you inspired and cooking and baking throughout Winter.

  1. Macadamia Brittle and the Salted Caramel Peanut Brittle (with or without a chocolate coating) from The Australian Sweet Co. This delicious product was sent to me by a local Melbourne company who makes a very yummy and a little bit retro range of sweets. ” Traditional sweet making with a contemporary twist” is their moto and I don’t think you can go wrong buying locally made food from a family run business. Check out their website for more information.www. australiansweetco.com.au. As for me, I plan on bashing up some of their peanut brittle and mixing it through vanilla ice-cream for a very special and simple dessert. Yum!FullSizeRender
  2. Royal Dolton Charlene Mullen mugs and plates. I don’t know why but I love them and I want them. Aren’t they gorgeous? To answer the obvious question, no I do not need any more mugs, but I really fancy myself sipping coffee out of these babies.

3. Of course beautiful new mugs requires beautiful tea. Harney & Sons Fine Tea is one of my favourites (I do have a few I must admit) and they have the most wonderful range. I used to be able to make my selection from Thomas Dux at the Glen Shopping Centre but they went and shut down their store. I am actually still a little devastated.

How good does Hot Cinnamon Spiced Black tea sound? You can buy it on Amazon and have them delivered straight to your door.

I am guessing that tea and chocolate would be on high rotation for most people at this time of year. So that are some of you favourite items in your kitchen this week?

Happy Eating.

  1. Oh Dani you are tempting me! Good for you. Unfortunately the red and blue set of mugs is out of stock. Maybe next time…
